Agora Institute, who operates GEPR, broadcasted a Web-TV program "Is radiation really so harmful? Considering risks of nuclear power generation" on internet video streaming channel "Niconico Live " on January 19th (in Japanese only) . Nobuo Ikeda, President of Agora Incorporated, and three experts on radiation, risk analysis, and energy policy discussed about the situations after Fukushima nuclear accident. Their opinions were consistent that potentiality of health damage caused by the Fukushima accident is very small. GEPR will provide a summary about this program soon.

Japanese people feel uneasy about scattered radioactive materials in the east Japan area after nuclear power plant accident in Fukushima. Dr. Keiichi Nakagawa, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Department of Radiology and Director of Department of Palliative Medicine at University of Tokyo Hospital, spoke about this problem at special seminar presented by Globis, which run business schools. Exclusive Interview with Emeritus Professor Wade Allison: Send All Disaster Victims Back Home

Emeritus Professor of the Oxford University Wade Allison visited Japan the other day who saw the disaster site in Fukushima. He said "Leaving a significant number of disaster victims outside their home is an unpardonable act from a humanitarian perspective". He insists that the cause of such a chaotic situation stems from an "absurd standard of dose criterion" set by ICRP and that the dose limit should be risen to 100 mSv per month.
